Original Travel, the British tailor-made travel specialist, has an award-winning 21-year track record and a team numbering 50 people, including 30 specialists with deep knowledge of nearly 70 destinations. A team of passionate travellers, they are also experts at profiling their clients and suggesting exactly the right services to deliver an unforgettable experience on every trip they organise. Original Travel’s accolades include arranging Prince William and Kate Middleton’s honeymoon, a trip that placed the tour operator firmly in the spotlight.

Today, its clientele consists of mainly British and US travellers seeking refined service with an inimitable British touch. Since it joined the Voyageurs du Monde group in 2017, Original Travel has developed a portfolio of services never before available in the Anglo-American market: more than 90 dedicated concierges, access to British airport lounges, fast-track airport services and a whole range of personalised services during the holiday. The tour operator is extremely attentive to detail and places special emphasis on authentic and original experiences that really bring a destination to life.

In addition, the brand includes a diving team (Original Diving) of marine biologists and dive masters who tailor-make dive holidays. Based in Putney, London, the agency mainly operates by telephone, video call and online, rather than in person. Its ambition is to track Voyageurs du Monde’s development and ultimately bring the concept of ‘emotional customisation’ to the entire Anglo-American world of travel. On its side, Voyageurs du Monde contributes know-how and a full range of in-destination services (concierges, exclusive accommodation, 24/7 assistance etc) to its new subsidiary.

HISTORY

2003 : Original Travel founded. 2007 : publication of The Big Short Break book. 2008 : launch of the family travel offer and acquisition of Tim Best Travel, specialists in Africa, Latin America and India. 2009 : launch of Original Diving. 2012 : acquisition of Simoon Travel. 2017 : Original Travel joins Voyageurs du Monde.
